Ruth Padel is a poet, novelist and non-fiction author, Professor of Poetry at King’s College London, Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and Zoological Society of London. She has published a novel focusing on wildlife in India, and a range of non-fiction including a memoir of frontline tiger conservation. Her poetry collections include Darwin, A Life in Poems, on the life and thought of her great great grandfather Charles Darwin, and most recently Beethoven Variations. We Are All from Somewhere Else, an updated paperback edition of her prose-cum-poetry book on animal and human migration, will come out September 2020.
