This marked the beginning of our Paint the Land project. In the lead up to COP-26, Writers Rebel is collaborating with leading artists and writers to create landscape graffitos that urge world leaders to ACT NOW in the face of climate catastrophe.

Call to Action: We are encouraging groups across the world to do the same. For information on how to paint the land read this.

Ackroyd & Harvey create multi-disciplinary works that intersect art, activism, biology, ecology and history. Processes of germination, growth and decay, feature in artworks that evolve through extended research in response to people and place. They have exhibited extensively in contemporary art galleries, museums, public spaces and sites of special interest.  Ackroyd & Harvey are currently exhibiting Beuys’ Acorns on the South Terrace at Tate Modern. In 2019, they co-founded Culture Declares Emergency in response to the climate and ecological emergency, a movement that now numbers over 1,500 individuals and organisations. ackroydandharvey.com
