Writers Rebel and Extinction Rebellion are committed to holding governments to account to reverse the devastating losses to biodiversity that the Anthropocene has caused.

There are roles for rebels in every capacity, but there are other ways to support wildlife too. In collaboration with the co-stars of #OnTheBrink, we’ve selected charities and petitions that you can support to help bring back species from the edge of extinction.

BLACK FACED / PERUVIAN SPIDER MONKEY – Ateles chamek, declined by 50% in 45 years.

CHIMPANZEE – Pan Troglodyes, under 300,000 remaining.
EASTERN GORILLA – Gorilla beringei graueri, less than 3,800 remaining.
GIRAFFE – Giraffa camelopardalis, 97,500 remaining.
